So monday night I'm on the hub. I'm talking to Tiger and Marie. Marie is sending me something and wonderring why I didn't answer. I almost typed help me but did not want to scare anyone. I was having a kidney stone attack! With no time to answer, I had to call the ambulance and get dressed. You have about 10 minutes before the pain is so bad you can't even speak. Thank God they came fast! And I did not want to scare the kids so thank god they were asleep. I stayed till today but told the kids I was working late. They would have fell apart if they knew. We are pretty tight. So thats my story. KIDNEY STONES AGAIN! Passed it already but still in some pain. I might take the next few days off to relax and rest. IT SUCKS TO GET THIS!!!!!!

Thanks Tom. I don't know if you had them, but it is the most pain you could ever go through. The only thing worse is a barbara sriesand concert followed by madonna dancing in those damn tights!

Oh no, Philly! I am so sorry to hear that![B)] You do need lots of rest and please, as I told you before, drink lots of water everytime. Generally, just drink lots of water the whole day!(lots more before going to bed even if it means getting up midway thru the night, then drink more after voiding).
This is not the first time it happened, so I hope your doctor is able to determine the predisposing factors to this. Did they tell you which type of stones you have? (oxalate, struvite, cystine, xanthine, etc.). If you know which type, then you will know what diet to adhere to.

Philly!! I knew something was going on since I didn't hear from you. I am so glad you are okay. I don't know how bad passing a kidney stone is but having an 11 pound 1 ounce baby ain't no picnic either! [;)]
Rest and relax for a while. (No painting!!)

Man, that sounds horrible philly.
Doesn't middle age suck?
On a recent checkup my urologist gave me an ultrasound of my kidneys and bladder.
He told me there are signs of possible some buildup and that I better drink PLENTY of agua.

Those look pretty!
Man, Philly! What a mess! I'm glad to hear that you're fine, now. Let Dr. FUMAS give you a little bit o' fun: if you drink some vinegar in your water everyday, stones will be less likely to develop. It says so in this book about vinegar that I have, so it must be gospel.

I feel for ya philly. I've had 2 bouts wih stones, '98 and '03. 2nd time I had it smashed which sent me back to the hospital since 1 of the pieces didn't want tp go quietly. Vicodin did absolutely nothing for me. Only thing that worked was Demerol, what a heavenly drug. I've been drinking 100% cranberry juice[xx(] almost every morning since. So far so good but I need to go back for another checkup.

Those with mere ass zits must be feeling a serious sympathy gap. My thoughts certainly go out to Philly since I'm told that you look down and expect see something that looks more like one of those exploding cigars from a Bugs Bunny cartoon. But it also goes out to those suffering the anonymous ignominy of their ass zits, hemorrhoids, yeast infections, athletes foot, corns, ulcers, enlarged prostates, venereal diseases, and hell, even severe constipation. I raise a Bud to all y'all!

BASTARDS!
What kind of cranberry juice? Everyone I saw at the store either had calcium (a no no) or was a cocktail which means not 100 %.
They did get a stone so just waiting for results. I drink so much water a day I look like a sponge. (and it didn't help)
