They were my earliest multi media entertainment experience: AM Radio, TV, LPs and 45's.

From the age of 3 or 4 they left an indelible imprint on my earliest musical inclinations.

Revolver and Sgt Peppers are the two Beatles albums that I hold above the rest.

I really don't know what this poll is about. I'm with Motors & BMG.

I see the point of this poll. My memories of my dad blasting Sgt Peppers will never leave me. I can't eat marshmallows to this day because when I was 5 my dad was blasting this record when I had the flu and all I had to hear was "marshmallow pies" and BLAAAUUGGGGGHH! Oh, THAT'S why my mom put the bucket next to my bed...

Although later in life I became a big fan of what that song was really about.[;)][}:)]

But I still don't like marshmallows, but I do love George Harrison.
To this day I remember exactly where I was when I found out he died...

Harrison all the way. I couldnt stand Wings.
And Yoko...just makes me want to die on the inside.

I am a fan of the band. I dont listen to them every day, but I dearly appreciate the impact that they had on rock music history with the release of Sgt. Peppers. That defined a concept album and embraced heavy mechanical/electronic production for the first time. I believe that the groundwork in production made by the album and the way that they all very closely followed in the footsteps set by Beach Boy's Pet Sounds created one of the most unique and original albums the music industry has seen in the past 50 years.

This is unfair.

Everyone knows that Linda McCartney was the real driving force behind The Beatles yet she receives no credit. It was Lennon's jealousy of her talent that broke them up.

It was nice of Linda to let Paul join her soon to be legendary band, Wings, when he had no place to go. Linda's vocals and keyboard playing with that band is just phenomenal- the way she would "ooh" and "ahh" in all the right places...

And what about Murray The K, aka "The Fifth Beatle"?

OK, I'll stop.

I started this poll without a question to see how people would react. I just got finished with a biography on The Beatles and was reminded again of how HUGE they were. I fought against the popularity of The Beatles in the early 80's claiming bands like Spandau Ballet and Devo were better. I was an idiot. I find it difficult to believe there is anybody that doesn't like at least one Beatles song.....believe the hype.

This may very well be true. It would be hard to find someone who could honestly say they don't enjoy a single one. Even I like 3 Beatles songs out of everything they've done. Percentage-wise, this means I like them much better than Coldplay and Creed, but much less than such greats as Third Eye Blind and Counting Crows (and yes, Spandau Ballet).

edited to add: I'll vote for Ringo. At least he's not overrated. [:D]

Hard choice between George and Paul, but I gotta give the edge to Paul for his wacky "McCartney II" album.
