Garbage has broken up and I'm going to miss their music a lot.
This is even worse than Weezer breaking up.
Garbage was one of the first bands I've ever liked. I remember being 8 and liking their songs a lot and wanting to be like Shirley. Their first two albums were masterpieces and their last album was pretty good too.
As part of this breaking up thing, they are editing a special box set with DVDs and CDS.
Anyway, we are losing one of the best bands ever with a female singer.

Hey, have you seen Shirley in a cameo in the new She Wants Revenge video for "These Things"? Pretty cool.

The Garbage debut album was released in 1996 -- I remember cause I was dating my wife at the time, and we saw them play live here in Tempe, AZ.

Well, but if you are 40 sth and like Garbage then you are young in spirit.[;)]
My mum doesn't like Garbage or any stuff that came out in the 90s.. except for some R.E.M. And she is 42. I imagine that you have more or less the same age than she has.
