After a little looking I found this site.

http://www.ktelclassics.com/ (but K-Tel has shut it down)

It appears that the former look and purpose of the site would have been perfect for your needs.

My guess is that you will not find a database, sorry.

I was just looking for that site & was suprised to see it was shut down. That site was quite detailed. They were taken off the wayback machine also. You can still get some limited information for a short time. Go this link & you can select Cached & you can see some of it still. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... assics.com

I just found another that you can view through the wayback machine.

I sure do remember those commercials...

"BELIEVE IN MUSIC! 22 original stars, 22 original hits from KTEL!"

I've still got some of the records too. Only after I bought them did I realize that the only way they could fit 22 songs on one album was to fade some of the songs out early, Bastards!
