It makes me very anxious but then I live in the uk so it would wouldn't it? But I guess they always had hi-jackers and stuff, it's just the way the authorities over-react, I can imagiene the US taking this further than the UK actually they already are banning all liquids. It really is crazy...[:(][V]it was always a hassle flying but if I had to go on a long-haul flight without my mp3 player or a book I'd have to sedate myself I'm afraid, bloody crazy stuff, crazy, crazy...

[/quote]Soon flying will be like... we'll all be in standing in our individual cages, locked in, so we can't light our shoe bombs on fire or take a piss. [:(!][xx(][:D]

Maybe the terrorists have won?

"Due to the nature of the threat revealed by this investigation, we are prohibiting any liquids, including beverages, hair gels, and lotions from being carried on the airplane," a DHS statement said.

The madness of King George and his cronies![:(!] If someone REALLY wants to blow something up they can find a way using just about any means imaginable. It defies common sense that they would even think about banning common household items and beverages. And it's unbelievable how many sheeple will willingly give up more of their freedoms in the name of "freedom" and the Homeland Security. Complete and utter insanity.

So where is this going to leave us? Do we now ban all lotions, beverages, MP3 players, laptops, shoes, watches, calculators, gameboys, chewing gum, body cavities?[;)][xx(]

These seem like prudent measures during dangerous times if you ask me. The London and Madrid bombings were carried out with pretty much the same home-made "technology" according to last night's MSNBC report. If these measures save one airplane, I'd say it's worth it. Apparently these measures saved at least ten yesterday [|)] I know I love to walk around with my water but if terrorists are disguising a bomb component in a water bottle, I can understand the need to keep them all out. Just think, if just one of those planes blew up in our airspace, how loud the cries of foul for Homeland Security would be.

In reality, we Must take stronger measures for security. People will get their panties in a bunch but like Marv said, it will save lives. And while on the subject, like it or not, racial profiling must be done. If every terrorist fits a description, why not watch them? Or dont hurt anyones feelings and search every single person. I think we need to close the borders-like every country in the world does. We need to get a universal i.d. card for all citizens and toss out all not leagal.
If we dont get tough, we will be sitting ducks. Oh, THANKS ENGLAND! We owe you!

I totaly agree with philly. They can call it racial profiling if they want, but I call it common sense. If 99.9 percent of the terrorist look like then why should we probe every orifice of at the airport just so we don't offend
. Makes NO SENSE! Close the borders scrutinize the obvious kick out the illegal and make the US safe for the citizens.
