What do you all think of this?[?]

Seems they only have a few cities so far, but the more interest, the more they may expand. I like the detailed cost comparison charts.

I doubt it would ever fly in T-Town--but if I still lived in DC or another area with a good public transportation system I would be all over this! Mr. Hex works out of our home, so strictly speaking we don't need two cars every single day, and this plan eliminates the nervousness I'd feel about not having access to a vehicle if something emergent came up. I'd also have to assume they prohibited smoking in the cars . . . I 'd rather be around a lit cigarette than stale smoke in a car.)
I like the idea of offering a pickup truck as an option--how many times have I wanted to haul a load of dirt or bark and wished I had one. I also like the idea that they maintain the cars, so drivers don't have to worry about what the previous user has done.

there's another competitor, zipcar.com, whom I see around Boston. I think it's great, although I haven't personally used it. The nearest IKEA (about 30 min. away from Boston) has them in their parking lots with their own advertising smacked on the vehicles themselves. Brilliant marketing, and very convenient for those who need their swedish fix.
