I am not always a fan of how CDs sound for some eighties albums.

Vinyl or even cassette rips I tend to find cozier to listen to, and some rips even offer higher fidelity when done well.

Anybody have a vinyl or cassette rip of Frozen Ghost's 1987 debut?

Or does anybody know a good community I can join to share analog digitizations?

A few things to consider:

A lot of reissues are brickwalled to maximum volume and a lot of cd ripping software effectively does the same.

While you will get vinyl or cassette converters who think recording at max volume and amplifying is the answer you will get a lot of people who know it isn't - they are probably responsible for the cosier sound as you call it.

So taking the exact same Pet Shop Boys session track would give you this sort of look in Audacity and sound quite nice
