Waking up to this awful news! A sad day for the 80s community as we loose another legend! Less than a month ago we lost the brilliant Terry Hall and now Alan Rankine! Thank you both for the beautiful music you gave us and may you rest in peace!

Yeah, I saw that yesterday and posted on it. Alan Rankin was a titan to me. Sad news, especially at such a young age.

Very sad news, the album "Sulk" is a classic, hopefully he can now meet up with Billy in the music scene above the clouds. RIP

Sulk was a true gem. While certainly not everyone's cup of tea, The Associates were a truly unique and creative band. A sad day...
