I listening to the smackdown going on between my boss & the color laser printer. [:0] I'm trying to drown it out with The Bears' "Waiting Room."

Mid-way through Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures" album...

...up next, The Sundays' "Here's where the Story Ends". Ho-hummm, bedtime.

Driving up to Boston tonight, I got a huge rush when The Lambrettas' Cortinas came on the Pod. One of the greatest, toe-tappingest choruses ever. "...but she only loves him because he's got a Cortina".

But can anyone make out the first line of the chorus? It's always driven me nuts.

Ahhhh, Cake ROCKS! Have you picked up their latest - "Pressure Chief"? These guys just keep getting better. I saw 'em in concert a coupla years back - they're phenomenal live.

COOL! Thanks for the tip Horror! The only Cake I have is Fashion Nugget but will definitely look into subsequent albums based on your reccomendation. What fun it must have been to see them live! And the Stone Roses' Fool's Gold....I remember my best friend in college would blast that track and do this crazy jig around the dorm, out into the hallway, back to the other side.....lol, we loved that album alot [:D][8D]

Anymore....GREAT track. She's just so.....dreamy *sigh* [:I]

Anyway, yeah, I met her and Bob from St. Etienne after they did a show at Irving Plaza back in 1999. She actually put my friend and I on the guest list for their next show at the Bowery Ballroom. I wish I knew you then Blir! We would've hung out like we did at the New Order show [^]

I was on the phone to a friend, talking about something completely unrelated when I read this, and I busted out laughing. Thanks for making my friend think that I'm rude.[:D][/quote]

I hardly would believe that your friend thinks you're rude. That WAS a darn funny line. I'd bet my last dollar that your friend thinks you're at the very least, just as funny [;)]

Anyhoo, Marvy's bopping around to some New Wave Medication, from the NWO CD exchange. Wow, what a great CD with so many tunes I never heard before! One of the best discs I got from the exchange. [^]

It's an all disco day in Wolver-town. I'm playing hooky from work, my neighbors were playing Styx really loud, and the perfect weapon is a bit of the 4/4 beat real loud.

Candi Staton and then some Jimmy Bo Horne.
