Despite dropping off my radar for over 15 years, it's still great to see one of our old guard get acclaim. It's not an award I give much credence to, but certainly a lot of the people and the industry do, so that's pretty cool in its own right I think. I might even have to bite the bullet and check out "Bomb".

U2 and Madonna were GREAT and they added much life to an otherwise boring show. Did you get a load of Madonnas body?

Hooray for Aimee Man for winning for Best Recording Package: "The Forgotten Arm" Art director Aimee Mann.

I was so happy u2 won!
I didn't get to see Aimee Mann. I really like her and I think she is totally under-rated.
Madonna looked good, but I am not her biggest fan.

Madonna looks and sounds amazing -- she's over 45 and has a body fitter than most 20 year olds.

As for U2, I've been a huge fan since 1982, still the past few albums don't really make it for me, especially when you compare The Joshua Tree vs How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb -- I prefer Achtung Baby or Zooropa to HTDaAB.

still glad to see them win.

I was a fan of Madonna. I still love every album up to Music (even that Dick Tracy album[:)] ). She seriously jumped the shark into the lower depths of mediocrity since Music. Can't stand to listen to her or see her.

May be it's more time for U2 and the Grannies.

Ironic: I haven't checked out the Grammys (hey, why don't we drop the "Y" and add an "-ies" ?) in many years, but by a fluke, last night my husband & I caught some of the beginning b/c we had some delicious Greek take-out and were waiting for LOST to start. So yeah, we saw Madonna. Neither of us are big fans, but she looked GOOD. My hubs especially thought she had amazing legs. That whole Gorillaz thing was weirdly cool, though. Were they cartoons? Screen projections ? Lots of U2-bashing here on the NWO, but it's cool that they won instead of some empty-calorie, prefabricated boy-band from today's ilk.

It was pretty awesome that U2 won... especially because Green Day gets almost every award existent lately.
Bruce Springsteen was great when he played Devils and Dust (I'm not a fan of him, but I have to give him the credit).
Madonna looks incredible I have to say... she's like Wonder Woman.

Yeah, we saw it live in Argentina (globalization rules!).

I am basically a groupie chick when it comes to U2....there I came out of the closet!

U2 is still one of my favorite bands and I really like the song Madonna performed.

Blir, I think "Bomb" is a really good album. I didn't like it much at first, but it has really grown on me.
