Well Depeche Mode never showed up but OH MY GOD, the tickets that Marie won for tonight's show? She can't make it and she.....(I still can't believe my good fortune)....GAVE...THEM...TO...ME.

Anyway, what a blast it was last night! Hanging out with Cee Cee, Glittering Prize, Abacab66, RaserX, Marie3, Malibu Sue, Dennis McNamara, The Mighty Maximizer, Fred Schneider.....unforgettable! Tons of old tunes, just like the old days. I really felt like I was back at The Malibu for a while there [:p]

Awesome night!!!!
Although the rumor of DM showing up didn't pan out, the night was a blast. It was fun seeing some old faces and meeting a couple new ones.
marie3 - always a pleasure and becoming a fixture at LI NWO hangs
marv - missed getting a chance to meet your SO but great to see you get on the dance floor if only for one song. Thx for the CD.
Glittering Prize - great to finally get to meet you & eightiesbaby. Thank you so much for the vintage LIR pin and the great company.
rewind - always a pleasure
raserx - nice to finally meet. Did you ever get out on the dance floor?[:)]
Cee - sorry I didn't get say more than hi. Maybe next time.
Thanks to DJ Maxx for playing my request "Touch". What a great song to dance to.
Malibu Sue was definitely in heaven last night with all the old DJ's that showed and the whole atmosphere.
I have to say the best part of the night was dancing to "Rock Lobster" and who joins us on the dance floor? Fred Schnieder, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! How many of you can say you danced to a B52's song with a B52? What a gentleman he is.
We closed the place and still wanted more.[:p]

I have a slight headache from last night but that's okay.
It was really fun to hear all the excellent music played at a club.
I had a great time meeting everyone and chatting with Marv.

It was great to meet all those who were there and just amazing to hear that music played LOUD again! After some "social lubricant" my wife & I finally hit the dance floor to groove to "Kiss Me" ,"Every day is Halloween/Work for love ", "Din Daa Daa"....etc...etc...It was great until my herniated disc made my left leg numb. Ahhh...what a drag it is gettting old. Anyway ..here is a pic of Fred Schnieder and Larry the Duck spinning some tunes...

Hey everyone, it was great to meet all of you at the club. I am also known as Mrs. Abacab. It really was amazing. Great music. And I danced with Fred. That was definitely the highlight of my year. Thanks to Glittering Prize for the pins. Marvymarv, abacab & I closed out the club! It was too much fun to go home any earlier!
And Marv - you have to dance more. [;)]

I wish I could have stayed until closing with you guys. I am jealous! I didn't even get to dance.

Really, how great was it hearing all that music in a club again?
I hope this will be an annual or semi annual event.
