The Stranglers solo efforts

Postby oneno » Wed Jul 05, 2006 7:36 am

Hey, I've been on a Hugh Cornwell and Robert Williams kick lately and think that both as solo efforts are terribly underrated. I actually discovered the stranglers thruogh finding mark mothersbaugh's name on the credits for "buy my record" by robert williams and found the ep stunning. Then i bought nosefratu featuring both hugh and robert and it furthered my interest.

Oneno, I've been getting into The Stranglers again after a long absence and I'm really digging it. "Strange Little Girl" I can't get enough of. I listened to your track, and you're right, that is damn! good. Thanks for the share. I'll have to look into that further. Cheers

I've got Euroman Cometh by JJ Burnell and I like that quite alot. I also have Nosferatu but I can't say I've listened to it in ages.

As I have said in other threads it took me years to get into the Stranglers. About 10 years ago I got ahold of the video collection and was amazed that I had written them off in the past. Now I can't get enough.
