In other areas, I like films a lot and also painting... I'm not a plastic artist but go a lot to museums and expos.
I'm also love science... really do... specially biology and chemistry. I'm not one of those geniuses so I have to study and pay attention to my classes... but what draws me to science is the fact that you are always learning new and exciting stuff. [:D] My sisters always joke and say that I was born with an Alberts' (that's a pretty popular molecular biology book) under my arms.

Oh yes I like movies and drawing painting too, I love creative stuff! I guess satrngely enough with science it would be more physics with me even though I hated at school as I am fascinated by space, I'd secretly like to be an astronaut but the zero-Gs put me off, I'm bad enough on an airplane! LOL[:I]But I guess if I had the chnce to go to space and get off this planet I would jump at it! I also find anatomy and medical interesting, never miss an episode of ER, alot of nurses in the family.[;)]

Industrial/experimental/noise/dark ambient and some of the newer metal and/or drone acts like Jesu, Isis, Dillinger Escape Plan, sunnO))), Witch.

Especially Jesu. It's Justin Broaderick from Godflesh's new project featuring Ted Parsons (ex-Swans). I'm obsessed with this band. Brutal and beautiful:

NWPG, I also love ER (of course that I'm interested in medical stuuf too)!!! Though the last seasons have not been very good. So now I'm very fond of House MD and Grey's Anatomy. [:D]
I'm not very fond of physics though I know it's an interesting area.... see those that study biology/chemistry generally suck at maths and physics. BTW, I passed calculus!!! [:D]

I love BBC programming, I've mostly seen old shows but they blow their American counterparts out of the water. "Cracker" with Robbie Coltrane, "Wire In the Blood" and "Touching Evil" with Robson Green,
to name my favorites.

For music, I love goth-industrial, synthpop, metal, and Britpop to name a few. Wumpscut, Project Pitchfork, De/vision, Wolfsheim, Opeth,
Turin Brakes, AquaLung to name but a few.

I collect vintage photography and old tomes.

I like a lot of classic punk rock, mellow early '80s pop (e.g. Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald), '60s - '70s Motown, '70s Gamble & Huff/Philly soul type stuff (glad to finally see Hall & Oates getting some respect these days), disco (disco influenced New Wave in plenty of unacknowledged ways), '70s glam rock, big band music from the '40s and '50s, the old-school crooners (e.g. Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney), '60s smooth jazz (e.g. Astrud Gilberto), Nick Drake's music, The Kinks, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Beach Boys (though only the '60s Beach Boys), "college radio"-type music (i.e. modern rock before it was known as "modern rock"), '90s Britpop, My Bloody Valentine, Lush, Catherine Wheel, "electroclash", a lot of modern-day indie rock (though it's mostly because most of it seems heavily influenced by '80s New Wave), and under my "How'd I get into THAT?" category, Metallica and Megadeth.

Edited to add: I also end up liking quite a lot of songs due to osmosis via my parents' fervent adulation of same. Dion's "Abraham, Martin and John" is a good example of this. I love that song because my mom loves that song. And I love Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Alone Again Naturally" because that was my dad's favorite song.

As far as non-music goes, I'm a huge fan of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "House", love Britcoms, used to be a fervent fanatic of the Food Network (but only stick around these days for Ina Garten, George Duran, and "Unwrapped"), used to be a fan of "The Facts Of Life" and "Family Ties" when I was a little kid (and miss those shows now), am anxiously awaiting "Life On Mars" on BBC America, have a huge amount of affection for '80s teen flicks made by John Hughes, perfected my Valleyspeak via repeated viewings of Valley Girl (Nicholas Cage used to be cute -- what happened?), am a huge math fanatic, am starting to be the same re: computers, enjoy painting, reading, walks in the par-- I'll stop now. ;)

Well... I had the biggest crush on Dr Carter during my childhood years... maybe I'd give my entire cd collection to marry him... not Noah Wyle but Dr Carter. [;)][:D]

Around 5 or 6 years ago I dove headlong into jazz. But I quickly learned what I liked and didn't, and find myself now focusing on the bebop and post-bop of the 40's and 50's, as well as some of the early avant-garde. Won't really listen to any jazz past 1970, and am not a big fan of the jazz prior to bop (although Louis Armstrong truly was miraculous). Have a really nice collection of original Blue Note vinyl now - - the cover art and liner notes are as great as the music inside.
