They did nothing in the U.S. In Canada, they had a handful of hits, most notably the lead singles from the 3 albums - "Rise Up," "At the Feet of the Moon" and "Love Is Fire."

The allmusic bio has a really annoying mistake in it.

I don't know much about them, but I like the song "At the Feet of the Moon" off the album of the same title. I have that album, but haven't listened to it yet. They're a Canadian band if I'm not mistaken, I think it's possible that their lack of success is due to this. Although there were plenty of Canadian bands who became huge, there were an equal if not greater amount that got ignored completely. I think Parachute Club falls into this category.

As I recall "Rise Up" was their biggest hit, and did get some U.S. airplay. I remember hearing it a lot, but then again, I was minutes from the Canadian border.

Their lack of success was due to RCA U.S. not trying very hard to get them any. Everything John Oates touched in the '80s turned to gold -- except the album he did with them. Why do you suppose that was? With sufficient promotional support, "Love Is Fire" would have been Top 40. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

I've seen conflicting information as to whether they were together 1982-1988 or 1983-1989 or some combination thereof.

I saw a reformed Parachute Club play in Toronto in 2005.
They were on a double bill with Martha and the Muffins!
