I nominate: "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung. (No. Really. Have fun tonight. We mean it.)

I thought this was worst song titles. The worst lyric lines I believe is in non-new wave relevant, where you can vent on what's really bad of that song-- "Everybody Wang Chung Tonight" (or should that be "everybody huang chung tonight")? [:D]

Not to hop on board the Grammar Police, but "spelt"/"misspelt" are acceptable British-English. Your (I'm guessing) intentional misspelling? Not so much.

Back to the topic with a pair of runner-ups...

"How Can the Labouring Man Find Time for Self Culture?" - Martini Ranch (I can't even say it, let alone sing it)

"Teenage Enema Nurses in Bondage" - Killer Pussy (Not being a, how you say, scat/S&M fetishist, I found myself struggling to relate to the important message behind this one. Get it? Behind. Enema. I kill me.)

De Do Do Do De Da Da Da is a crappy title for a really catchy song but probably the poorest (is that ok???) in the Zenaytta album. I can think of 6 songs among the album better than this one. However... I love how Sting looks in the video.
What an hypocrite... I love how Sting looks... the thing is that I love Sting. [:p][;)]

•Japan "Adolescent Sex" It was wrong then and it's wrong now.
•Bad Manners "Ne Ne Na Na Nu Nu" silly.
•Bow Wow Wow "W.O.R.K (N.O. Nah No No My Daddy Don't)" most likely McClarens doing.
•China Crisis "Orange Mutt Mutt Dance" hoo boy.
•Cocteau Twins "Suckling The Mender" almost every C.T. title is this absurd.
•The Cult "Aphrodisiac Jacket" oh c'mon!.
•The Cure "A Man Inside My Mouth" indeed.
•David Sylvian "A Bird of Prey Vanishes Into a Bright Blue Cloudless Sky" I love the Sylvian but sooo pretentious.
•Jean-Michel Jarre "Wooloomooloo" feh!

Ah good point. I got caught up in its overall badness... I can't think of the title without the follow-up "wang chung" line (hurls).

In that case, I re-cast my vote for "When Mama Was Moth" by Cocteau Twins. Blergh. And I freakin' love the Twins.

And, it's not really new wave technically, but "Deep Down Trauma Hounds" by Skinny Puppy makes me cringe. Oi.

:D]Oh yeah there are better songs but what it's about its good, I love Sting's lyrics! My personal fave is 'when the world is running down you make the best of what's still around' just cos I relate to that song when life is going crappy!I love the whole album though but yep the album tracks are best I think...
