You just bought a major market radio station. What would be the first song you'd play?
Mine would be the Clash's version of "Brand New Cadillac"

My pick: First--3D's "XD-Ray Eyes" followed by the "Sun City" by Artists United Against Apartheid.

"On The Air" by Peter Gabriel seems appropriate.

Same song as the first video I posted to my blog:

Antmusic Adam & The Ants

So unplug the jukebox and do us all a favour; that music's lost its taste so try another flavour - Antmusic! Antmusic! Antmusic! Antmusic!

Here's a good one for the inaugural track--"On Your Radio" by Joe Jackson! Or, how about "Goodbye Seventies" from Yazoo.

I had a superstition to play "Start" by the Jam every time I got a new CD player, so that will probably be my choice.

It depends on when my station debuts. If it happens to debut during the weekend or on a Friday night, I'd love to play the Scars' "Love Song" as the inaugural song. If it's any other time, I'd steal highway 1pch's idea and play Adam & the Ants's "Antmusic" first. But I'd definitely make "Love Song" the first song of the first weekend of the broadcast, or maybe even the first song of any weekend.

Just Like Heaven - The Cure. Although the first track that played on my net radio was "Just a Dream" by Nena. :)
