1. Philippinos?
2. Frenchies?
3. Argentines?
4. Kentuckians?
5. Vermonters?
6. Canadians?

Note that they're just questions, not opinions. [}:)][:D][}:)]

Also note that the 1st 3 are countries (more or less) while the last 3 are mere States...apologies for the inconsistency.

1. Definitely not, although they get major points for trying.

2. Claim to be until challenged, then they fold.

3. The chick with the huge tits in the other post can be whatever the
Hell she wants.

4. Do we even know any of these? [?][?][?]

5. No way, although there'a at least one punk here who enjoys some
occasional lightweight new wave stuff [B)][:I] yet realizes it's
really not important enough to be taken all that seriously.

6. I can think of one ... but only one.

Where's Utah? [:D]

East of Nevada, west of Colorado, north of Arizona...

and hell yes we're new wavers! redxred will back me up. Where's egg-roger lately?

I'm chuckling about Blir calling Canada a state, but Mrs. scramjet would be deeply offended.

Only a few Filipinos were New Wave and we like it that way. It makes us proud. Because if alot of us are Wavers then we will be labeled as mainstream and we dont want that definitely. We have this feeling that if we are listening to New Wave music, then we have a higher taste in music because only a few knew about new wave bands and their songs. Its like " oh, youre a waver huh, wow, you have good taste". Pardon my grammar guys.

time in limited supply, under threat of extinction, that indefinable nothing, somehow motivates you, finding the right words, can be a problem,

There are only few Filipinos who are NEW WAVERS. It's better that way. Filipinos have a lot better priorities in life than being a NEW WAVER. [;)] We are happy people who loves all kinds of music genre and that's why we invented KARAOKE and modified it to VIDEOKE.That's what we are proud of.[;)] MUSIC LOVERS! PEACE!!![:)]

Hey now! I lived in Vermont when New Wave was beginning. But I admit I was living in Maine when New Wave was flourishing.

Canadian radio played a lot of the New Romantic stuff in those days. It's when I first heard the song "Fade to Grey" by Visage.

I was in Vermont where I first bought OMD's "Organization," the first two New Musik albums, Visage's first one, the Yachts, the Stiff Artists, the Shoes, the Korgis first two, Gary Numan's first four, Telex, Kate Bush's earliest. I could go on, but I won't.

Canadians are very New Wave. They are so New Wave, they made Endgames' "First, Last, For Everything" into a major club hit. They are so New Wave, they managed to out-Police The Police by the mid '80s with The Payola$. They are so New Wave, they produced Martha & the Muffins ("Echo Beach, far away in time..."). And Corey Hart? Boy was awfully handsome in the '80s, wasn't he?

Mexico doesn't strike me as being New Wave at all. (I can say this because I'm half-Mexican in ethnicity.)

Thanx God, the UN assigned me to the Philippines where I had the chance to listen to fantastic New wave music. Who knows, had I been assigned to the US, I would probably be like some of those dudes who think Prince, Madonna, Devo, The Cars, the Pretenders, Talking Heads and Oingo Boingo are the best new wave artists on earth![:D]

That's a scary thought, Fanciz! The idea of going through the '80s not hearing the Lotus Eaters, Care, the Wild Swans, Martin Ansell, the Railway Children, Seona Dancing, the Farmer's Boys, h20, the Room, and Furniture on New Wave stations but tons of Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, and (gag) the Producers instead is a nightmarish alternate reality that probably drove my otherworldly doppelgangers to insanity.
