Grunch, What Are U Smoking?

Your posts are really weird and I don't really understand your questions.

1. New Wave songs that are 3-5 minutes long.
Answer: About 75 of all rock n' roll songs ever written are within that length and as for NW, probably 90%.

2. Bands with words in their lyrics?........???????
"lyrics" actually means words. Can their by lyrics without words?

3. Bands that used guitars?
So many bands use guitars, it's not a rare instrument.

Maybe you're not phrasing your questions clearly? Giving you the benefit of the doub here.

I'll give you the benefit of the doob, and assume that sarcasm has escaped you momentarily.

I think he was trying to be funny . Well , I hope that's all it was because I also did not understand the questions. Drugs , got to be drugs. [:D]

Well, I also thought he was being sarcastic but he's like spamming the forum with quite a few of these topics so I thought maybe he's just off in the head or something. If that's his intentions, then it didn't escape me, I just wanted to make sure.

Well, he got your attention, didn't he? Considering every single one of my (scant few) threads here has bombed worse than New Coke, I'm impressed.

Still have no idea whether he was mocking SuNomi, paulsimpson or an amalgam of a bunch of different posters who should really spend some time thinking up better topics.

I'm pretty sure an apple a day would keep those topics away ... if you catch my drift.

New wave is new wave, it was a genre that only lasted maybe from 78-85. If this forum's going to last for years to come, we're bound to repeat these topics or worse create bad, meaningless ones, this is not physics or philosophy mind you. If Grunch wants us to come up with better topics, than perhaps he should do his part in creating interesting topics himself instead of spamming the board with annoying smart ass topics.

It's only a freaking board for NW music!

I sort of backed away from NWO a while back when there was a bit of nastiness going on. Then Eight-6 was gone...now apparently he's back...Grunch is on drugs...people with less than 5 stars don't seem to understand sarcasm...

WTF is going on around here?

People will continue to post goofy topics like "New Wave Songs With Xylophones" (mine) as long as this forum exists. Some people will enjoy them and some will mock them. Some of the mockery will be clever and subtle and some not. Some of the clever and subtle mockery will go over the heads of some people. All this is just in the nature of internet message boards.

zill,

I laughed about what you wrote in another thread about being a "brainless knuckle-dragging drooler"--though I don't associate you with that ilk. However, it would not be a bad idea to have that as a title for a forum where many of these others can congregate.

I personally just throw out some topics sort of in line with some out there already, for fun, nothing more, nothing less. Obviously, you have not seen me berating anyone for creating the topic, responding within a topic, etc.......no harm meant, and tes, they are meant with some sarcasm. If you don't like to read my topics, please feel free NOT to. They are not mandatory for you to open, view, respond, etc......also feel free to make of them what you will - sarcasm, witty or unwitty banter, ridiculous ramblings, it's all part of adventure on a forum. I've ticked my share of people off over the past few years for one reason or another, and from time to time add my two cents on musical topics if I feel I can add anything to a topic. No harm intended, no harm done. For the record, no drugs, my mind easily operates into absurd territory in a drug-free manner.

If I've offended you, sorry. If you are of the mind set to simply see past being offended at the intended sarcasm, more power to you. You will clearly want to steer clear of my upcoming book examining the days of the week in mundabe detail, all sarcasm intended. In fact, after the first day of the week (I call it Someday instead of Sunday) you have Mundane (instead of Monday) so if my posts have been offensive to you, or perhaps ticked you off, please be forwarned if you see this book, it will drive you nuts with the sarcasm aimed at the details of the mundane.

Are you implying that I brought a measure of nastiness to the board?...because if you are I congratulate you on your astute observation. Idiots attract nastiness.

The problem is is that we cannot observe the non-verbal cues that go along with email or written communication. I've known grunch for years and if you only can see his face when he is seriously trying to fool you, you would be able to figure he is just kiddin' around. Nope, him smoking something is not the cause, he is just trying to have fun with you all. Lighten up![8D]
