Latest CD-R You Made

New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

Actually a cou[le of comps I made for a friends wedding, with quite a few older guests, so they include Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughn, Louie and Ella, Dinah Washington, Sammy Kaye (Harbor Lights), early Tony Bennett, etc.....

Sometimes I'll listen to this genre of old crooners and swooners for weeks, it is that lusciously enjoyable and timeless. It's pretty damn hard to beat some of the wonderful classics.

Then I recently made my brother a comp of 70's 80s hard rock stuff - April Wine, Judas Priest, Dio, Triumph, Scorpions, Sequel, Vandenberg, Zebra, Rainbow, etc......this stuff can still kick the ass of almost anything rock-oriented these days - just my opinion of course.

Many people, like me, do not want to buy new gadgets, maybe want to spend money on something else, do not feel the need to keep up with the "technology" Jones', etc.

Besides, if you want to list your playlist(s), and i-POD spin, most played, etc. there are threads for that... and grunch made a thread for the CD-R you burned three CDs ago... [;)] [:p]

So, to each their own! [:D]

Duran Duran – Secret Oktober
Frank Chickens – We Are Ninja (12”)
AFOS – It’s Not Me Talking (original single version with the cool keyboards)
Human League – I Love You Too Much (ditto - original with cool keyboards)
Men Without Hats – Freeways (German language version ripped from Freeways EP cassette)
B-52’s – Rock Lobster (DB records versions ripped from 8-track)
Altered Images – Dead Pop Stars (from Peel sessions)
Yaz -I Before E Except After C
New Order – Temptation (unnamed, unreleased 28 minute extended mega-version ripped from reel-to-reel tape stolen from lorry parked outside The Prospect of Whitby)
Bow Wow Wow – B side of C30, C60, C90, Go! (Cassingle rip)
Re-Flex - Humanication
Vinyl rip of L’Oreal ad in between tracks on Sigue Sigue Sputnik album
Devo – Swiffer (ripped from the TV ad)

XTC – Procession Towards Learning Land (No.6 from Homo Safari Series)
Nibbled to death by an okapi, nibbled to death by an okapi, nibbled to death by an okapi
