I know it's not a monsters/Halloweeny/ghosts type of song, but did anyone else find "Blasphemous Rumors" to be really creepy?

Here's how the Producer of The Specials "Ghost Town" made the single and 12" version! Interesting...

Not new wave but I got to go with D.O.A. by Bloodrock. I remember in my old neighborhood a house up the street would play this biaring from the window on halloween night.

I would certainly think of stuff like The Hanging Garden by The Cure as cool songs for Halloween... just imagine listening to it in a really scary haunted castle.
Many Siouxsie songs would also go really well.

We're rather far from HW?? What brought this topic up?

In the late 80's we had a local goth/metal band called Morticia here in Mpls. They covered that Bllodrock song and used it as the title track to their second album.

I know. It starts earlier every year. And I hate how Halloween has become so commercialized that hardly anyone remembers its true meaning any more.

'Nasty' by the Damned!!!

(wish Halloween was big in Oz) [V] we get 1 maybe 2 kids desperate for lollies and bugger-all parties etc.... 5-10 years ago its was non-existent and barely recognised at all.

I think I know the record Grunch referenced in this topic a few days ago. It was "Monster Rap" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. This was an 80's return by the original Monster Mash creator. It was on Easy Street records.
