Don't forget Tom Wait's horrible overacting in Coppola's Dracula and Toyah's early appearances in Derek Jarman's Jubilee and The Tempest.

Of course they have both made dozens of other movies.

Did you also work on "Turkey Shoot?" Now that's the benchmark upon which all Australian cinema should be judged!

Oh, 4 Out of 5 Doctors in "The House on Sorority Row," Todd Graff (member of Pedantiks) in "The Abyss," Lee Ving (Fear frontman) in "Clue," Josie Cotton and The Plimsouls in "Valley Girl" and more I'll think of later.

"Hunting Venus" was a great fun to me
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162996/fullcredits
You''ll see there Simon LeBon, Gary Numan, Phil Oakey, Midge Ure and others playing themselves.
I enjoyed this film very much.

Tom Waits was also in "Mystery Men". Chris Isaak was in "Silence of the Lambs" and the "From The Earth To The Moon" HBO mini-series. I believe he was also in an episode of "Friends"

"Oh I've just come, from the Land of the Sun, from a war that must be won in the name of truth. . ."

Clare Grogan (aka CP Grogan) also played the original Kristine Kochanski in the UK Sci-Fi farce "Red Dwarf."

"I've seen something you haven't squire," she says to Lister as she looks down her blouse.

+++

Fee Waybill of the Tubes is in "Xanadu" Although many may argue the Tubes aren't New Wave.

+++

And wasn't there an entire movie about the Smithereens?

It was a comic, Ferengi-centered episode. He played a Vorta and captured the dry, deadpan humor so perfectly.

Oh yeah, he was great in that episode. He should have been in more. Wouldn't he have made a great Cardasian? It wouldn't have taken much makeup for him.

Among many other movies, David Bowie was also in The Man Who Fell the Earth. Artsy beyond rational belief, hard to take at the the end, but Bowie looked great!
p.s. parts of this movie were filmed here in Albuquerque !

Chris Isaak in "Little Buddah," he plays the father and his son is reincarnated as a wise Dahli-Lama type monk.

David Bowie is in an upcoming movie, The Prestige.

http://touchstone.movies.go.com/index.h ... k=prestige

This flick looks like it will be pretty good.

It's got Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Scarlett Johansson.

Am I the only one that whenever I hear his name, I think of the Madness song, "My name is Michael Caine."

For some reason, Bananarama's Robert Deniro's Waiting does not have the same effect.
