It's got Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Scarlett Johansson.

Am I the only one that whenever I hear his name, I think of the Madness song, "My name is Michael Caine."
You are not alone.

And Scarlett Johansson! Yummy.

Did you also work on "Turkey Shoot?" Now that's the benchmark upon which all Australian cinema should be judged!

Oh, 4 Out of 5 Doctors in "The House on Sorority Row," Todd Graff (member of Pedantiks) in "The Abyss," Lee Ving (Fear frontman) in "Clue," Josie Cotton and The Plimsouls in "Valley Girl" and more I'll think of later.
"Turkey Shoot" Yes,well..we won't talk about that one. [:)]

-I do remember seeing Siouxsie & the Banshees performing in some awful Anthony Michael Hall "action" movie, doing something like "Cities in Dust" in a dingy club he was hiding out in...movie was called "Nowhere to Run" or sumtin' to that effect.
-Also, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds performing in a club in the wonderful "Wings of Desire" while one (or some) of the movie's "angels" were standing around them.
-And, Joan Jett with Michael J. Fox in the well-done "Light of Day: watch for the not-famous-then Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails in the synthe-pop band that plays in the club after JJ/MJF's band disband (temporarily).
-Australian band The Swingers in the excellent "StarStruck", I believe the first new-wave musical comedy.
-Speaking Australia, Michael Hutchence (late sex maniac singer from INXS) in "Dogs in Space".
Anymore surprises out there?

Just saw "Basquet" for the second time on Starz Encore channel, and forgot what a great acting job David Bowie did as Andy Worhal! He ahd all the hummmfs and ummms down pat. Also, David Johanson (aka: Buster Poindextor) was in it as well.

I want to see this... Is it really good???

Wanted to add David Bowie's awesome performance in "The Hunger" from 1984, which also had a great Soundtrack, and Bauhaus performing Ziggy Stardust in a club scene to boot! Surprised no one has mentioned it yet. [:)]

Somebody mentioned Bowie earlier.

Bowie was also in "Absolute Beginners" along with Patsy Kensit and Ray Davies
