I do indeed love that song[:)]. However, it was simply an error when I was cutting in pasting my list that I listed it twice. I'm still editing.

Hey drsevrin!

I hope you don't mind if I post that countdown on my website at www.rocklists.com sometime in the next week or so. I have the Live 105 Top 500 countdown from '88, the top 300 from '90, and the top 300 from '92 on the Live 105 section of my site if you want to check them out:

http://www.rocklists.com/kits.html

If anyone needs any ideas, check out the site. Also, if anyone has any old lists that I don't have, let me know!

<p align="justify">HAHahHa. Good one[:D]

My tastes have changed quite a bit since the last. Some songs remain the same, but most likely this will be a top 50 of other New Wave songs. The problem is that I might want to list songs that are not New Wave, nor are they from a New Wave band or artist (David Bowie and Roxy Music, for example). We need to clarify what can make the list and what cannot in order not to have something like Kim Carnes's "Betty Davis Eyes" listed[}:)] I see some have already listed Roxy Music and that's a bit of a stretch (does "More Than This" reeeeally sound like New Wave?). I'm gonna be very liberal in my listing, so here goes:

F.R. David - Words
The Alan Parsons Project - Don't Answer Me
The Art Company - Susanna
Roxy Music - More Than This
Japan - Methods Of Dance
Depeche Mode - A Question Of Lust (Minimal)
The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
ABC - The Look Of Love (Part 1)
Talk Talk - It's My Life
Freur - Doot Doot

Duran Duran - Ordinary World
Echo And The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
The Psychedelic Furs - The Ghost In You
Yazoo - Only You
Visage - The Damned Don't Cry
Naked Eyes - Promises, Promises
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Souvenir
Tears For Fears - Pale Shelter (Extended)
The Stranglers - Strange Little Girl
A Flock Of Seagulls - This Used To Be My Playground

NewOrder - The Perfect Kiss (Extended)
The Human League - Don't You Want Me?
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)
Ultravox - Reap The Wild Wind
Pet Shop Boys - What Have I Done To Deserve This?
Trans-X - Living On Video
Magazine 60 - Don Quichotte
Paul Lekakis - Boom Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room)
Kraftwerk - The Robots
Madonna - Borderline

Death In June - Runes And Men
The Church - Under The Milky Way
The Durutti Column - Sketch For Summer
Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over
The Comsat Angels - You Move Me
Chris Isaak - Lie To Me
The Cars - Drive
Marshall Crenshaw - Marianne
Nick Lowe - Cruel To Be Kind
Squeeze - Pulling Mussels (From The Shell)

Christian Death - Romeo's Distress
The Bollock Brothers - Harley David (Son Of A Bitch)
Bauhaus - Dancing
Killing Joke - Eighties
The Cure - Killing An Arab
Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds - Deanna
The Lords Of The New Church - Dance With Me (Extended)
Ultravox! - While I'm Still Alive
The Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love?
Was Not Was - Dad, I'm In Jail

More or less, this is how it goes down... expect some possible future edits[}:)]

AND you want them in order, 1 to 50? I don't know about the rest of you, but I agonize over these things, yet I feel a compulsion to complete this task. So I ask myself, do I really like Just Got Lucky more than Cruel to Be Kind? I don't know. I guess I do today.

Talk Talk – It’s My Life
New Order – Love Vigilantes
The Fixx – Stand or Fall
The Human League – The Lebanon
The Clash – Lost in the Supermarket
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark – Secret

The Human League – Seconds
JoBoxers – Just Got Lucky
Ministry – Work for Love
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark – Talking Loud and Clear
New Order – Blue Monday
Nick Lowe – Cruel to Be Kind
Nik Kershaw – Wouldn’t it Be Good

Public Image Ltd. – Public Image
Peter Gabriel – Shock the Monkey
Split Enz – History Never Repeats

The Blow Monkeys – Digging Your Scene
The Cure – Close to Me
The Psychedelic Furs – Love My Way
The Smiths – How Soon Is Now?

Ultravox – Reap the Wild Wind
A Certain Ratio – Life’s a Scream
The Normal – Warm Leatherette
Violent Femmes – Gone Daddy Gone
XTC – Making Plans for Nigel
The Clash – Train in Vain
Bauhaus – Crowds

Okay, Blir, do your magic. I understand you still do your calculations with an Apple IIe. That's so eighties.

Just a note Denniz, lists NOT in ranked order will be discarded. Items beyond 50 will be discarded. All the lists are fascinating but I can only include those that are ranked into my Apple IIe calculations.
