I always went to 007! And I have to admit, I was not a big fan of Ford. I did not hang out with him and his.

I knew Sean. I didn't know that he passed away. That really bums me out. I haven't heard from Tony in years. He was at my wedding. Remember Jeff, the bartender from Spize and Thrush? I ran into him a few years ago. Lives in Holbrook. So does Chuck, the barboy from Thrush. I stay in touch with Calvin and Amy via email. I had heard that Pat moved out west. Anyone know Adam? I used to hang with him all the time but I lost touch with him. Remember Steve Reno (Design for Living Steve). He lived in Holbrook for awhile too, as do me and my wife. I guess a lot of the club scene moved to Holbrook but we're incognito, ha ha!

I used to go to Rumrunner's, but was never there when it changed to Heartbeat. A few nights in 007, but that was about it from those mentioned. Club80, you mentioned Design for Living - was that a band?

Hi Cee! Design for Living was a local band. Steve Reno was in it. I still have the album they pressed. I wonder how many copies still exist? Mike Duggan did the artwork on the album (another LI club person)

Club80 - My friend and I were caught in the middle of the legal age change for drinking. We were legal for 6 months, then not legal, so when we were again not allowed to drink we used to go bowling at Garden City Bowl. It was open 24 hrs back then. After a few games, we'd find a few guys that were bowling & then go challenge them. The losers had to pay for all the games.

We met either two or three guys & one was from that band. I don't remember their names & I don't remember if one or all were from the band. I just remember the name of the band. I'm sure it's the same guys. They were nice guys. We all went to the diner after bowling that night & never saw eachother again!

You are right on the money Cee. They were from New Hyde Park, just a stones throw from Garden City. There was Steve Reno, another Steve and I can't remember the third guy in the band (it was a three piece band). I knew Reno pretty well. I even went to an after hours party at the other Steve's house. Yes...they were good people.

I guess there was a Ford in every scene. Because we had a guy named Ford that was all over our club scene back then too. Being from Houston, you guys probably won't be familiar with our scene, but we hung out at NRG, XCESS, Aftermath, Lizard Lounge aka The Lounge, Numbers, 6400, Deca Dance (Sunday disco), Avalon, DV8, Tantra, Detour, the list is a long one. But the best time of my life by far.

I mainly hung out at Xcess, but I've been to all those clubs. Didn't Ford work the bathroom at NrG's?
