They actually had that Mermaid Theatre show streaming via the BBC website. They also did such a show for support of the Release album. I recorded both performances.

I anticipate a show of unprecedented artistic achievement come October. Yes, I am a shameless PSB fan (pun intended) [:o)] Want a copy? Shoot me an e-mail.

edit: I almost forgot...I also have the documentary, "A Life In Pop" which aired on the BBC a few months ago. Just be aware that this is a good half hour shorter than the DVD release will be. Let me know if you need this too.

Go here for the marvelous Oscar Salguero remix radio edit of Minimal (you have to click on the PSB MP3 player below Neil's face in the upper right hand corner):

http://www.tennant-lowe.com/index.php

This guy's a big time Spanish producer and the mix he does is sublimmmmme [8D]

OK, I ripped a super-clean AIFF file of the afore mentioned Minimal (Oscar Salguero remix radio edit) and posted it at my blog. Just click on the link below and enjoy, you crazy Pet Heads [8D]

When Neil started singing the "M-I-N-I-M-A-L, Minimal, Minimal" last night, I kinda lost my cool for a moment - man, does that song OWN.

The concert last night was pure PSB genius. I totally dug the Minimal stage set [8D]

They did a fantastic mix of Se A Vida E which broke into the synth hook of Dominoe Dancing over which Neil sung the "Hay una discoteca por aqui" over and over from the Bilingual album. *GENIUS* Other highlights included an acoustic rendition of Home And Dry with Neil on the acoustic guitar and Chris on his keyboard. Neil sang the entire song of Rent from behind a screen, amplifying the anonymity and silent loneliness of the "lover on the side" from whose eyes we see through in this song. Such anti-pop icons...would Justin Timberlake do this? These guys let the music speak for itself and are not "ALL ABOUT ME!!!" They broke out an electronic drum kit and electric guitar for the Soddom & Gomorrah Show and Dreaming of the Queen was most touching with the (Lady Di?) motorcade film rolling in the background. And who could forget Ms. Sylvia Mason James whose pipes were working it as always? The soul injected solo rendition she did of So Hard left quite an impression. Oh, and the dancers were fantastic, breaking out lots of old school type breakdance moves. Always a pleasure, seeing the Boys.

Pet Shop Boys did an in-store appearance at Virgin Records on 14th St. in Manhattan at midnight last Saturday (10-14-06). Anybody make it over, by any chance?

Last night? After the show? Wow, I wish I knew about that. We went to dinner after the show at Vong, a few blocks away.

Sounds good so far - Now let's hear from others who have seen the concert, as the Boys make their way across the earth.

Skinnytie, that would have been so great to go to right after the concert! I wonder if they'll do that in other cities?

Yeah! Actually now that I think about it, they played quite alot of material from their first two albums, Please and Actually.

- West End Girls
- Opportunities
- Rent
- Shopping
- Heart
- It's A Sin

Real vintage PSB. I would have LOVED to hear I Want To Wake Up and I Want A Lover. Oh well, maybe next tour [:p]

Don't think the PSB are coming back here soon.
Bought my tickets for No. last week... there's only one month to go. [:D]
