21 JUMP STREET

[DSR]

In 1987 THE MANILA NEW WAVE SCENE was on it's peak with WXB102 closing down on JUNE, NU107 test broadcast on NOVEMBER 1(ALL SAINTS DAY), and FINALLY DZBM POWER105 NEW WAVE FORMAT COMEBACK on CHRISTMAS EVE.[;)]

1987 was the year GMA CHANNEL7 introduced 21 JUMP STREET on MANILA TELEVISION.[:)] I, myself was a great fan of this T.V. show.[:D] Who wouldn't forget the Legendary Casts of Johnny Depp(Tom),Richard Grieco (Booker), Dustin Nguyen (Ioki), Holly Robinson Peete(Hoofs),Michael DeLuise (Penhall), etc. I remember hearing music from R.E.M., Conrete Blonde, U2, and of course the special T.V. appearances of Depeche Mode and General Public.[;)] These were great memories indeed especially as youngster back then awaiting the weekly episodes. Though, Johnny Depp was also on a band back in the 80s in THE KIDS, who incidentally fronted THE PRETENDERS and TALKING HEADS, his performance in 21 JUMP STREET was excellent!![^]

21 JUMP STREET (1987-1991) a classic![^]

It was one of the first shows that I knew was filmed in Vancouver. Just stumbled onto the show while flipping stations during my summer holidays. Started watching it, and then seeing the Skytrain in the background blew me away.
