NWO Ultimate Song Poll Results - 2006

New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

I think it would be nice to come up with a complete listing of new wave bands, then groups of experts in each band would be tasked to list down their 5-10 best songs. (4 to 5 experts for each band) The consolidated list would be posted and NWO members will have to pick their songs from that list. Maybe this would eliminate the problem of having songs voted only once. I know it would be a gigantic work but well, we will have one year to do it until the next poll eheheheheh

No kidding. Besides, before you would attempt to do what I think he's talking about, wouldn't it be prudent to assign this tard the job of classifying the groups into "gentle", "a little less gentle", "not so gentle", "not really gentle", and, "not at all gentle but grouped with gentle based on their past groupings within the gentle classification".

That ought to keep "bonard" busy for a few months.

Lucky you!!! Now shut up and learn something.[}:)] Besides, you're bitching about me when you've got Wozgo on the other side...I'd be more worried about him.

Many thanks Blir for putting it all together. Amazing results. The top 100 would make a nice little comp.

It's actually public domain freeware, Cluster 3.0 and Java Tree View 1.1 for PC, MAC, Linux, whatever. In fact it was originally designed for biological gene expression data but fits pretty well for things like this, lol. Google and download it - you'll dig it. I'll give you a data set.

Is it too late to change my songs?? [;)]
This is very cool, Blir - thanks for the analysis!! I guess YipYipCoyote & I are standing in a corner while the rest of you are mingling?
And who's that babe you're with? You know, in my world (auditing), the analysis is done by an independent person.[}:)]
IIRC last time I was paired up w/ Scramjet, and now that's not the case at all.

Let's see, how does that lyric go again-
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right....[;)]

That's kind of a trippy grouping, really almost an 8th sub-cluster all by your lonesomes. I'd be proud. I think Otters was pissed last time because he was closer to the Average than any other two people were to eachother. And yeah, I got good company. It's no Abs-Eight6 circlle-jerk but it'll do. The lady's got some damned fine taste is all I know!
