Does anyone remember this station? If so, do you remember Chicken Outlaw, Telefon, The Animal Song and Cashflow? Are there any other lost new wave classics (from KROQ)that Ive missed that are hard to find?

Hey retrophil, if you do a search here on the NWOutpost message boards, you'll find an overabundance of KROQ fans who have posted plenty topics about every aspect of the station. [:D] KROQ is certainly not something anyone around here has easily forgotten about.

Cheers!

My favorite KROQ rarities:

Dr. Sex - Pleasure & The Beast
King - Hohokam
Pressure Sway - Machinations (cd was released but is now out of print)
Slow Children - Spring In Fialta
Can't Stop Running - Space Monkey
Come Back Friday - Wide Boy Awake
Watching Their Eyes - Kissing The Pink (although the cd has now been re-released)
Say It Again (Radio Version) - The Danse Society (for some reason, the radio version is not to be found anywhere)
The Message Is You - Gary Myrick
Close To You - Nine Ways To Win
Rainy Season - Howard Devoto (hard cd to track down)
The Calling - Ken Heaven (original Swedish version)

Richard Blade should have put some of these in his cd series. Thank goodness we have Alex.

Those were the days though. I don't think KROQ will ever be as cool again. The only station that ever came remotely close to KROQ was MARS FM.
