Pixies & Gang Of Four New Material in 2007!?!

Just heard that the Pixies are going to start rehearsing new material in January, and Pitchfork has a bit about Gang of Four starting to work on new stuff too!:

Anyone have any update on "Roxy Music working on new material in Europe with Brian Eno?" I've seen that quote 5 or 6 times over the last two years, but heard no further info. All my 80's faves resurrected!

Weirdly... they are the two bands that I've been listening the most for the last couple of days (also Wire).

.... ooh new Gang Of Four stuff, spotty dog! Anyone else think that the recent rerecorded Best Of "Return The Gift" is brilliant? Now I loved "Entertainment" but it didn't half sound like it was recorded in a shoebox! The reviews of "... Gift" in the UK were lukewarm at best. The new "To Hell With Poverty" and "We Live As We Dream (Alone)" sounded utterly fantastic.

I saw both for the first time on their reunion tours.The Pixies were fantastic and pretty much what I expected, after waiting a decade to see them.
Gang of Four, I had "Entertainment" and a 12" single of "To Hell with Poverty" and I'd say I was just a casual fan.When I saw them in Boston on that tour they just blew me away. I had to go back and listen to "Entertainment" again and I appreciated it more.
I hope this news pans out and both tour again.
