The WFMU Record Fair is this weekend....which means aisles and aisles of hard to find vinyl and cheap CDs....and the occasional music/TV personality thumbing through it all.

Hey double J

Skinnytie and moi were there Friday, some of the early loonies who paid $20 for early (and all weekend) admission (4PM).

Be on the lookout for a Maximum Joy "Stretch" 12 inch, said to be unopened, on the 99 Records label, 10% off for $90!

Skinnytie hesitated and lost out on a Dr Feelgood comp.

My haul included 2 Stockholm Monsters cds, Absolute Beginners, Fad Gadget "Gag", Gary Numan "Telekon", Githead "Profile", Swell Maps "Wastrels and Whippersnappers", APB the 2cd 20th Anniversary "Something to Believe In" ($8), and Joe Jackson Deluxe Edition "Night and Day".

I'll let Skinnytie post his selections; last I saw he was headed downtown to continue the pursuit of cds.

Will you be going Sat or Sun? I might do a return visit (though my bank account is tapped out), and I believe Skinnytie will also return. Shoot us an email.

No new acquisitions for me after I headed downtown, but I did pick up about 6 CD's from the show, and hope to see more there tomorrow.

Incidentally, schwenko, I'm considering that 2-disc compilation we saw that the seller offered us for $15. I might have to go back Sunday if the vendor isn't there tomorrow on Saturday.
