1984 obscurity - Germany is the NW Country!

New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

as a side note,I would say that 60% of our radio station listeners are from Germany.(interesting to note that about 20% are from France/Belgium)

NW is also popular (or getting popular) in South America,I have been noticing more and more listeners from (Peru and Brazil esp)

Getting popular... many ex grunge and brit pop devotees are turning into NW lately.

In my case, I was always New Wave!!

Suddenly, several of my friends got into Depeche Mode and New Order.

Not complaining.

Of course, I'm still the musical weirdo of the gang... they kind of get surprised when I put bands like Ultravox, Altered Images, Tom Tom Club on cos those bands never get played here.

I just found this threat and have to say "SCHRECKLICH und PEINLICH" !!!
Terrific and absolutely ridicule !!!

We had never a great Country Scene in germany, but have soooo many absolutely fantastic New Wave groups and artists !!!
They invented something very special and I really are happy to live in germany to get knowledge about this time and the guys behind the music...
Even in UK and Belgium/France/Netherlands were so great musicians !

I am 1/8th German. I think that 1/8th may be the musical appreciation component hehe

Actually he ment Terrible (Schrecklich), not Terrific, and embarrasing (Peinlich), not ridicule. [:D] WQhich makes more sense at his outrage of this German video.

P.S. - Palstick Mann, terrific übersetzt Wunderbar!
