Not really arabic sounding, but topically correct:

A Split Second - Scandanavian Bellydance

Just the other night I was listening to the latest Chemical Brothers release "Push the Button" and the 1st track on that CD has a very distinct Middle-Eastern flavor to it - - would be good for dancing, also.

Check out Natacha Atlas. She's a modern version of Ofra Haza. Her music blends traditional Arabic instruments, rhythms, and lyrics with modern electronic dance beats. Her music is popular in clubs in Europe. Here's a great song that you can download for free from Amazon. (Folks might recall that I put this song on my Club Noir compilation way back when...)

(Several of her albums are on emusic.com.)

Raserx, how about "From a Million Miles" by Single Gun Theory. A very cool WLIR tune that sounds middle eastern. (I have it if you need)

WolverineSyr, Im Nin 'Alu is a great song.

Try The Cutter by Echo and the Bunnymen. This has the right middle eastern influence and probably the right pace though the subject matter may do nothing for her.

Then again, subject matter may mean nothing. After all, Killing An Arab by the Cure is probably the exact opposite of what you are looking for.
