aadam12....I remember that Flipper incident. That was bizarre. I saw a similar incident when Minor Threat opened for Black Flag at My Father's Place. Ian MacKaye responded to a thrown beer bottle by saying something along the lines of being able to command the crowd to kick the guy's butt. Of course, the anti-violence person that he was, he just lectured him and went back to playing.

Marie3....are you referring to the Wetson's on Old Country Road in Hicksville? The one that became Titus Oaks?

Dougmash...I'm actually glad that the carpet store is closed. Not much chance of it becoming a club again though a carpet store appeared a bit cold. Is Lenny's Clam Bar still in that strip? I remember walking (or staggering) over there from Thrush to get the doorman a cappuchino occasionally while, in actuality, just looking to find a semi-clean bathroom!

Yes that was Wetson's. I had forgotten about Titus Oaks. It's now a Dunkin Donuts.

Yeah...I used to ride by bicycle to Titus Oaks all the time. It was the second best record store on Long Island after Slipped Disk in Valley Stream

Thanks Phillyidol, I'm afraid these post are going to be a wee bit to long ago and far away. The previous post was from 2006 seem unlikely that anyone besides you and I are reading this particular section. Thanks for trying brother. And thanks for all your kind words you really made my night.

They damage the dance floor finish like sneakers on a bowling alley.

I too received an email from Adam Ant. No, we never met but I remember seeing you at SPIT a lot. I am working with Philly to try and locate you a picture. You don't have any photos from back then? I would love to see one myself.

Actually I have one. A group of friends were meeting at a costume party at Nassau Commuity College. They asked me if I would drop by and hang for a while, to which I said sure. I was going to Malibu that night but dropping in on a costume party was right up my ally. I no sooner walked in and I was rushed up to some stage to take 1st prize in this costume contest. I hadnt entered I hadn't even found my friends yet but they snapped a picture and gave me some concert tickets. Hey thanks for lookin I sure do appreciate the effort. It would be fun to see any pictures of any of us hanging out at the clubs. Good times!
