Between these two, I'll choose Ziggy. Although I think Satisfaction should be the winner.
However, Trashmonk, you don't get what you want. 18. Please Please Let Me Get What I Want—Dream Academy

7. Ziggy Stardust--Bauhaus

EDIT: I was following blir, who left out Tainted Love, so someone else gets to choose between

Ziggy Stardust - Bauhaus

Just got paid big bucks from someone . . . so I hereby certify Taco the winner! [:D]

Seriously, the song that refused to leave the charts back then, refused to leave our list. But our affections are so . . . tainted. And to think Marc Almond was also the FIRST to be voted off this list as well.

Can I change my mind? I was pushing for Ziggy and figured Devo was the strongest competition, thinking surely, certainly, indubitably, that no one would allow something as pedestrian as Tainted Love to win!!! I guess I underestimated you guys. [}:)]

Have I become so embarrassingly predictable and tiresome? [V]

This reminds me, anybody else dig Midge Ure's take on "The Man Who Sold the World"? Of course it can't compare to Bowie's epic appearance on SNL with Klaus Nomi and Joey Arias, but it's a cool little ditty.

[/quote] Not familiar with that one. My favorite is Nirvana's cover on MTV unplugged.

Which reminds me...Video of Kurt Cobain discussing New Wave here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3U1ZaeBs20

Killer interview. In an alternate universe, I can kinda picture him getting together with Thom Yorke and doing some crazyass groundbreaking stuff.
