New Wave Station Broadcasting Live Daily

New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

Thanks! I just want to let everybody know that live broadcasting will return on January 15th for our official relaunch. Right now George Frederick and I will be working on getting the station's massive playlist organized. Beginning January 15th WXB 102 will be a "real" radio station again since its demise in 1987 with live DJs such as Frederick, Mick Flame, Hilary, and possibly the Ghost will start DJ'ing on a daily basis. We'll be spinning mostly '80s stuff; however, we will be incorporating the new New Wave, from unsigned and independent acts, to the latest stars such as Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, the Decemberists, the Killers, to new UK sensations like British Sea Power, to '90s Britpop and shoegazers Ride, Pulp, Chapterhouse, and the Stone Roses, to post-punk Pinoy Rockers such as the Pin-Up Girls, Prettier Than Pink, and Scarlet Tears.

In the meantime we'll have pre-recorded shows on rotation. With the arrival of iPods and the increasingly easy access to rare mp3s, I just don't see how mp3-only Internet radio can survive without DJs, who can bring something else to the table.

Thanks for the support [8D] We're working very hard on this.
