Name That Tune Junior, Round 1 -- answers /results

Postby rsgonzalez » Sun Jan 14, 2007 11:29 am

With apologies to fritzb :)

Thought I'd give this a whirl. Since it's my first try, it might be too hard or too easy; I'll adjust future rounds based on how this one goes. One point for correct song, one for correct artist. Twenty songs total means forty points is the maximum.

The mp3 and answer sheet are below. Do not post your answers here!

The deadline is Friday, January 26 at 4 p.m. EST. Good luck, and enjoy!

I am completely stumped on about half of the songs.

I'm also missing quite a few brain cells. But the game is tough, nonetheless.

Don't let that stop ya! Send in your answers. I'll make the next one easier or harder depending on how people do on this one.

Ah, I remember the time I tried this, went down as well as a lump of cold vomit. [:D]

Not a bad effort though, nice use of Duran Duran and Kate Bush. [:)]

Unless they were popular in the US, avoid UK artists as they generally won't be known.

Only a few days left! With the average score at 21.5 points, it's still anyone's game. Send in your answers! And yes, I will make the next one a little less tricky.

I take back what I said earlier. I don't know half the songs. I don't even know a quarter of the songs. But it's a fun game, anyway. Thanks for doing this!

I'm still kicking myself for missing an obvious gimme answer. Yeah, this game was pretty tough on me, but I don't think you should scale down the difficulty too much. These things are supposed to be hard.

Good job with the game!

Not much time left! The deadline is 1/26, 4 p.m. So far, we've had seven people play. The top score is 28 out of 40, and the average is 20. Also, songs 6, 7, and 20 have yet to be identified. I'm hoping lots of responses slip in just before the deadline :)

Got 20 so far, not a bad quiz at all.
