I suppose that you've got The Cure's Trilogy DVD... [;)]
From that DVD,the best performance (in my opinion) is One Hundred Years... I'd loveee to have seen that live.

Any one of these would be fine:

Hendrix at Monterey
V.U. doing Venus In Furs
GG Allin's last performance

David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust in 1972 or Peter Gabriel Genesis with The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Not New Wave, but definitely what I wish I had the chance to see.

Backstage, at Saturday Night Live after Sinead O'Connor sang "War" and tore up a picture of the Pope. I want to see everyone's reaction, from the audience, to the cast members, Lorne Michael's, and any NBC honchos in attendance.

Ah, you reminded me of two other worthy choices:

Elvis Costello doing "Radio Radio" when he wasn't wasn't supposed to.
David Bowie w/Klaus Nomi and Joey Arias doing "The Man Who Sold The World".

The Cure is my favorite and seing them do anything is a treat, but I would have loved to see Iggy Pop rubbing broken glass into his skin in the '70's.
