New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

I'm looking to extend my knowledge of Australian New Wave bands simply as a way of discovering new music. I'm keen to stray off the beaten track rather than anything largely commercial. I'm a big fan of:
Icehouse - a little patchy but some awesome albums
Pseudo Echo - Autumnal Park is one of the great New Romantic albums
The Expression - how badly overlooked was this group?
Can anyone recommend other avenues for me to pursue along similar sounds to the above? Cheers for letting the knowledge spill forth [:D]

Boy was that huge over here. Did they ever have a follow-up hit? if not.. they may be good contenders for the one hit wonders thread

They did release another song, but it was no hit. One song was "Never" which was on the "Footloose" Soundtrack. But they never outshone their "What About Me"[:D][:D][:D]
