Anybody remember the band "TBA" (from Canada?)

Postby djlazarus » Mon Apr 16, 2007 6:07 am

Hi,

I seem to remember a band called TBA (i think) from Canada (i also think). They had a single that got a bit of play in the 80's. Does anybody remember this band or have any info about them? I tried lots of web searching, but using the name TBA makes it VERY difficult.
I also remember nobody showing up for their live gigs because the ads would, of course, say TBA, so people thought it meant 'To Be Announced'.

Hey DJ Lazarus,

Welcome to NWO - I actually met you last June when the DJ's from FA held an event in the back room at the Funahus. Hoping I can come back again at some point this year to DJ.

Great tune!!

TBA is correct (a play on To Be Announced), name of the song is "Love Across The Nation"

You can request the song on Flashback Alternatives :)

Thank you soooo much DJ Wave. I have the 12" vinyl of that TBA song, but all of my vinyl is in storage so i couldn't just look at my collection to answer my own question. One day i will have to get it out and transfer it to CD. I loved that song and want to start playing at PANIC (the party you deejayed at).
I will be having you guys back again in late summer or early fall.
I listen to Flashback when i can and love it. It is refreshing to find people with passion and knowledge of this kind of music.
In solidarity against musical shit,
DJ Lazarus
