I'm listening to the Camouflage best-of collection for the first time, having received a tip that they sounded like Depeche Mode. I listened to Red Flag's Naïve Art for the same reason. You know what? I like what I heard in both instances.

That being said, I was wondering what bands you would recommend if you like a particular "bigger" band. For instance, what should a Duran Duran fan look into? A New Order fan? Depeche Mode? Tears For Fears? OMD? Et cetera...

Huzzah!

A few other DM clone Bands to listen are Celebrate the Nun, Cause and Effect and Cetu Javu. Celebrate the Nun sounds more Camouflage than DM, German accent I guess? Cetu Javu spanish speaking Dmode-heads..Cause and effect is somewhere a cross between Erasure with Gahan-like vocals.. and there's Anything Box which sounds like Information Society..Electronic ala' New Order, Kon Kan ala' Information Society too.. Late 80's and early 90's Synthpop rules!!

Bands that have similar sounds, IMO:

The Cure = The Essence
The Psy. Furs = Love Spit Love
A Drop In The Gray = The Expression (Australian band)
Japan = (early) Duran Duran

Depeche Mode really had a great army of followers. They were mostly from Germany and they could never hide the German accent while singing English songs.
