Release News on Vision - Lucifer's Friend

[glokstadt]

For those of you who just love their song Lucifer's Friend; good news, this is from the Vision's newsgroup:

Hi everyone

Finally!!!!!!!!

The record company who had all the original master tapes of the original recordings has finally agreed to release them to be remixed (althgough I haven't seen them yet!!)

There are about 40 songs with the original line up

Russell Bonnell Vocals
Andy Beaumont Keyboards
Pete Jackson Bass Synth
Chip Drums
Dave Gilbert Guitar.

I will be in the studios in the next couple of months to revive the memories and to try and do something with them.

Watch this space!!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed with messages etc for keeping Russells memory alive.

Great news, though I still fear the remixing. No techno mixes, please. Also, I wonder if he's aware the tapes may be a sticky mess and in need of a good baking? that may be a surprise.

Awesome news Gerald. [:)]

So they can release a cd but they can't put any of the original versions on there?!?

More:

Pete Jackson, ex bass player with Vision, posted a link on the B -Movie site where you can download tracks from Vision. These orignal versions were planned for the album "Insight."

Some intresting tracks and they are not bad sounding. Mp3 format.

Hope this helps a few poeple who haven't managed to track down some of Vision's works...
