"NEW WAVE REMIX"

"NEW WAVE REMIX"

Postby basskitkays » Tue Nov 27, 2007 11:31 am

ok so here's the deal...
back in high school a girlfriend had a tape called "New Wave remix"
As i remember it appeared to be professionally done as the label was mylar-holographic kinda thing...
it was apparently all 80's synth pop new wave covers of older songs
the only two i remember are
2525
witch queen of new orleans

However it was a full length compilation...
anybody have any clue what the rest of the tracks are or who the artists were????

ANYTHING??????

"2525" was probably Visage's cover of the the Zager & Evans hit.

"Witch Queen..." is a cover of the Redbone hit, but I don't recall an 80's "new wave" version, however Jennifer Rush did a synth take on it in the 80's. (Edwyn Collins covered it, but later on and not really synthy.)
