Adam & The Ants New "Best Of"

I forgot the name of this, it says it was supposed to be released on the 27th of Nov(US), but i went to 2 different record stores and neither said they had it. Anyone have any news/info on it?

You've already been to two records stores this morning?! Today's the release date in the UK, so it's no wonder a US store doesn't have it in just yet.

It's called "Dandy Highwaymen: the Best of Adam and the Ants." Amazon UK has it, and you can also get it through the US site.

Anything on here that hasn't already appeared on their initial albums and/or numerous compilations?

this is probably from the company that just did the thompson twins 2-cd collection- not meant for hardcore fans, but a fairly comprehensive overview that includes all the hits and lots of albums tracks. oh, and here they threw in 2 "rarities" (not really) so they could proclaim so on the back cover.

so what do we have?
ALL of "kings of the wild frontier" including 2 b-sides (the "rarities" in question, found on "b-side babies" and elsewhere).

most of "prince charming" (but not mowhok, my favorite)

the hits from "friend or foe" and a few more (but not "place in the country"? or "something girls"?!!)

the hits from "strip" and most of side a. (yes i'm old).

the hits from "vive le rock" and 2 other tracks (but not the great ones)

a nice collection for the casual fan, and these are always budget priced, so i can't complain. not essential, but not pointless either.
if it gets a few kiddies hooked on antmusic, SO BE IT!

Unfortunately, no Young Parisians, Deutscher Girls, Xerox, Kick or Cartrouble. Well, at least they included Press Darlings. That wasn't even included on the AntBox.

Yeah they could at least put "Beat My Guest" on one of these discs in a remastered form. That is still my favorite Adam Ant track.

yeah, the exclusion of any of the versions of "kick" or "cartrouble" is baffling, but you know: then we wouldn't have had room for classics off of "strip" like "vanity" or "libertine."
