According to a certain "blogger" on a website that has been dedicated to Thompson Twins reissues, they have been revived! After appearing to be all but dead and buried, Jester has announced there is life: http://thompsontwins.moonfruit.com/. Although I hate getting my hopes up (not about the reissues themselves, but the quality), I wish all the best that they are truly the all encompassing sets that fans have been waiting for. The Thompson Twins have many mixes to their name. An Into the Gap Deluxe edition could take almost 3 CDs! Although I have an original pressing from 1984 of that album, my favorite next to Quick Step and Sidekick, an update remaster is not a horrible thing. I just fear a brickwalled, maximised and otherwise LOUD reissue that would damage my eardrums. So many promising reissues have turned out that way. The only sets that have not are the Depeche Mode Deluxe Editions. Simon Heyworth is an excellent engineer who balances modernity with taste. Thompson Twins 5.1 SACDs would be awesome!
