Retro Active 7 - Rare & Remixed

"The Bridge" by Cactus World News would be a good inclusion.

Big Hit on US college radio in the 80s.

There is indeed a 12". Never heard the 12" version.

I found this link

http://www.cactusworldnews.com/discography.htm

There is even a cuple of email addesses looking for feedback.

If other bands gave email addresses for "reactions to the site, the re-release project or anything else".

The German Version of 99 Red Ballons is far better than the english version.

Was a 12" german version ever available?

I just found "CIA" by Light A big Fire on You Tube - this was a great song.

Gregory Gray had a great song in the early 80's. Around 85 - It may be DON'T WALK AWAY FROM LOVE but I am not certain.

There is just so much that could be included on Retro Active 7 -there is simply no shortage of material.

The series deserves support bigtime so that the series can continue.

We've all listed enough material, that can easily fill up 4 more cd's worth for a "R&R #10"......Let's hope(despite what Alex says) there will be a number 8/9/10.

discogs.com lists several 12"es of 99 Luftballons, but all of them have the 3:50, regular version.

I never heard the 12" of the Midnight Oil track - the 7" does not seem to be on many 80s compilations that is a shame.

There isn't a offical ex. mix of Turning Japanese.
a Hot Trax version is out there, at the tune of 5:21...to my understanding Hot Trax(s) are not offical and i don't think you'd find this version on this complilation or any other Hot Trax mix for that matter.

Is this correct Alex ?

I must stress that this mix is amazing and is so faithful, it's just a very good/great splice job extending the course and verse just making it longer....

Alex ever heard of a band called "Tall New Buildings" ? a track called Breaking Her Walls (so good), i have the 12" in my hands right now (ya, i just realized what i wrote, lol)
...very very good ex mix, called Demolution mix.
Canadian yes.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Since i have my 12" vinyl out, these are my most wanted.
please consider!
1. Messenjah's Jam Session (canadian)
2. the Box's My Dreams of You (canadian)
3. National Velvet's Flesh Under Skin (canadian)
Chris Sheppard did the ex. mix
and finally, i haven't seen this anywhere
4. Thrashing Doves' Jesus on the Payroll ex mix

thank you,

djdave.
