This may be old, but did anyone ever report this?

Yes, this may be old news to people, but I just got the CD so it's news to me. I decided to try the Bananarama CD 'Deep Sea Skiving' (having not heard it in years), choosing the Collectables issue since I've heard many complaints about the UK reissue with the bonus tracks. I was stunned by instantly hearing compression artifacts from the opening track on. The Collectibles CD consists of VERY HIGHLY COMPRESSED MP3 files, and sounds unlistenable to my ears! I guess I better seek out one of the original CD's from 20 years ago. What the fuck is wrong with these shitty reissue labels?!?! Check out the total lost of 1/3 of the audio spectrum from the Collectables CD. Absolutely terrible!

I'm trying to return the CD to CD Universe, and the Collectables website is currently unavailable. I'm not keeping this garbage.

One good thing about shitty reissues is that quite a few unknowing souls will sell their original slightly scuffed copy for a brand new flawless looking but faulty sounding reissue. ePay has a few original Bananarama DSS CDs up right now.

All the best,
