While not "synthy" as in 'sounds like the synthpop I loved in the 80's', the new CD by Does it Offend you Yeah (yes, that's their name)has some pretty interesting/inventive use of the synth.

I borrowed their CD from the local library (!!) and it's starting to grow on me.
