I'm hoping I get my replacement soon, as they asked for my address about a week/week and a half ago. Thanks for the info gang.... At least they're willing to fix their mistakes, which is cool in my book. Some labels would be like "F&^K YOU...Oh Well".

Man - I purchased mine not too long ago and didn't think the sound quality on disc 2 was all that horrid. I'd hate to send mine back in to CR only to get the exact same disc back. I don't hate mine so I'll probably stick with it.

I'm surprised nobody's talking about the upcoming "A Product Of/Set" collection coming out. I'm particularly looking forward to this one since I don't own either album!

I still have not had any response from Edsel. I just now wrote again for the third time to their feedback form on their website and another email. This has been ongoing for weeks. Can someone just post the corrected tracks?

What exactly is this? is it a music boxset or their videos? that'd be cool huh? a complete boxset/wbonus tracks/vids,etc. I'd buy that.

I got my replacement disc for Into The Gap yesterday. As Jacko said in his 10/13 post, the sound is better, and there are some vinyl pops still. As a matter of fact, there are 3-4 seriously loud vinyl pops around the 1:33 mark of "You Take Me Up". I wonder if the first version sounded worse becuase they were trying to mask these pops?

Either way, Edsel's service was great and they responded quickly to my replacement request.

If you are not sure if you have the intial pressing of "Into the Gap" that has errors on it or if you have the corrected second version.... I found this info someone posted on discogs...

"Initial pressings has mastering errors on disc two. During Aug or Sep 2008, copies were recalled and replaced with a corrected version. Both look identical and carry the same catalogue number. However, one simple way of knowing which version you have is to check track 203, You Take Me Up. The corrected version has two seconds of silence before the song starts. On the original, the song starts immediately. Both versions have identical timings of 7:24."

Yeah, I posted that at Discogs :).

The Aug/Sep thing is a guess based on the news from http://www.sharoma.com/ttwins/

Emailed Demon a week ago - very politely - and never heard back.
Got home from work yesterday and found the cd in the mail.
Great customer service, imo! Oh, said cd is the ITG 2nd disc.

Just got my replacement disc today. Only asked for it a few days ago after reading this and other forums. And yes YTMU starts after 2 seconds unlike my first copy bought on release. Anyone got any idea which 3 tracks were changed? Obviously YTMU, SOM and another. I just got disc two in a plain sleeve protected by cardboard as others have reported

I picked up a used copy of Into The Gap Deluxe Edition. I heard loud pops on Track 3 of CD2 and assumed I had picked up one of the "bad" versions. I emailed Edsel and they sent me a replacement...which had the same defects. After doing further research it appeared that the original release was even more messed up. Oh well.
