Too bad it's not The Fixx, but some crappy cover...

Could it be the 're-make' by The Bus Boys??? www.busboys.com/

This cover version is soooo bad. It's rotten, lame, horrible, crappy, shameful, stupid, ridiculous, etc...

I remember last year sometime Dell was promoting a new line of computers using Devo's 'Watch us Work It' with Asian girls in the commercial. I also remember back in 2003, Nickelodeon released a Spongebob Squarepants clothing line and Men without Hats' 'Safety Dance' was unabashedly butchered. Imagine hearing 'You can Spongebob if you want to' as opposed to the classic verse 'We can dance if you want to'. Very Sad.

NFL.com commercials now have snippets of an "Every Day Is Like Sunday" cover. Kinda funny. I can just picture Morrissey being a huge football fan.

A few new ones I've seen, but can only remember one right now:

The new 'Old Navy' ads are using Bow Wow Wow's version of I Want Candy in their latest TV ads. The song was written and recorded by The Strangeloves in 1965. Reached Number 11 on the chart.

Just now, I heard The Cars "Let's Go" in a Lee's commercial. Don't know if that was mentioned or not yet.

Unfortunately, I did too. It was so bad, I would rather hear the "Saved By Zero" commercial.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.
