"Scientists have unveiled a 47-million-year-old fossilised skeleton of a monkey hailed as the missing link in human evolution".

Let's see how this plays out.

I love this saying I found the other day:

"I have no problem with God, it's his fan club I can't deal with"

It won't change a thing. You're severely underestimating some people's FEAR and their NEED to have something to lean on. The delusional among us will simply say that "GOD created the missing link".

Why would he have created a 47 million year old skeleton if the world is only 6,000 years old?

That's what I like about religion...it's a moving target. Just when you think you've got it cornered, it morphs into something equally implausible complete with a new set of devotees/hucksters.

Funny you should say that, my ex in-laws are working on that as we speak.

On a slight side note, their neighbor is looking for a new place to live because they "shower him with love" (their words) everyday. He has repeatedly told them that he's not interested but they still come over and give him pamphlets and offer words of encouragement and love. The neighbor has even answered the door in his skivvies trying to scare them off but it just doesn't seem to work. Poor guy.
